Regulations on Payment and Refund

1.Payment rules

All international students applying for study in Xinxiang Medical University shall pay all fees to the school in accordance with the standards stipulated in Enrollment Guide. The specific standards shall be formulated and implemented by the School of International Education, Xinxiang Medical University, in accordance with Administrative Measures for School to Enroll and Train International Students (Decree No. 42 of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China) .

All fees paid by international students shall settled in RMB, and those remitted in foreign currencies shall be settled after conversion into RMB at the effective exchange rate of the bank on exchange day.

Payment items and payment time: International students shall pay the due tuition, accommodation expense and other fees within one month after the term begins, otherwise they shall not be allowed to register. Those who fail to pay the tuition and other due fees for two months after the deadline shall be treated as dropout.

The degree students shall pay the tuition per academic year. That is, they shall pay tuition for one year at a time. Tuition shall be paid in September every year.

The advanced students shall pay the tuition per semester. That is, they shall pay tuition for one semester at a time. Those who will continue to study in the next semester shall apply one week before the end of the semester and pay tuition for the next semester before extending the period of residence permit or visa.

In principle, the degree students who fail to complete their studies on time within the academic system and need to extend the study period shall pay tuition in accordance with the normal tuition standard during the extension of study.

2. Refund rules

In principle, the tuition shall not be refunded after it is paid by self-financed international students. For those who are unable to continue study due to special reasons, such as family financial difficulty and illness, etc., one part of the tuition may be refunded to them in accordance with the corresponding regulations of the School after they complete the procedures of dropout and residence permit cancellation. The specific methods are as follows:

Refund rules:

For students who complete the procedures of dropout and residence permit cancellation within 30 days (including 30 days) from the date of enrollment and registration stipulated by the school in the first semester of academic year, 50% of tuition of the current semester and the tuition of the second semester may be refunded; For those who complete the procedures beyond 30 days, only the tuition of the second semester may be refunded.

For those who complete the procedures of dropout and residence permit cancellation before the date of enrollment and registration stipulated by the school in the second semester of academic year, tuition of the second semester may be refunded; For those who complete the procedures after the date of enrollment and registration, tuition shall not be refunded.

For those who have been expelled due to violation of laws and regulations or school discipline, tuition shall not be refunded.

For degree students (undergraduates) who are admitted to our school, but give up enrollment and study in our school, or apply for dropout after enrollment for personal reasons, the prepaid tuition of the first academic year shall not be refunded. For those who are unable to continue study due to special reasons, such as family financial difficulty and illness, etc., one part of the tuition may be refunded in accordance with relevant regulations of the School after they complete the procedures of dropout and residence permit cancellation.

Refund rules: For international students who have been approved to suspend schooling, the tuition paid in the current semester shall not be refunded, but the corresponding proportion of part tuition in the remaining time period may be used to offset other fees after approval of the School when they resume to study.

Refund procedure

Cancellation of residence permit: International students who apply for dropout after getting the study residence permit shall handle the corresponding change procedure of visa or residence permit at the Exit-Entry Administration Division of Xinxiang Public Security Bureau within three days after submitting the application for dropout, and shall submit the originals of relevant proof documents to the school for inspection, otherwise the tuition shall not be refunded.

Return of original receipt: International students shall keep all kinds of payment receipts properly. According to financial accounting system in China, anyone who apply for a refund must return the original receipts, otherwise the refund shall not be allowed.
